Medicare eRx Fee Schedule Penalty Physicians must e-prescribe in 2011 and submit a minimum level of eRx codes on their Medicare office visit billings to avoid progressive fee schedule reductions on all their revenue in January 2012 and January 2013. Many specialists will be exempted from the reduction, however. Some will be automatically exempted but others may need to apply for an exemption by November 1.
